Social Work Counseling Services

With over 25 years of social work experience, Dr. Audra Martin is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation. She focuses on quality and best in health services for all ages and life stages.

 

Services include: Individual psychotherapy (from preschool age through older adults) with a wide-range of behavioral health conditions and life issues. Contact us for Private Pay referrals.

Social Work Services

Available for people using the Individual Options Waiver
 

A counselor or social worker may assist a person with disabilities to become more independent by working on problem-solving, self-help, or adaptive skills, or arrange for counseling or other support services to help ease stress caused by things like work, family, or living situation.


The person’s service and support administrator, or SSA, will assess them for a need for Social Work. If there is a need, the SSA will include it in the person’s individual service plan.

The provider will:
 

✓ Develop a social work/counseling plan of treatment
✓ Counsel
✓ Advocate for the person
✓ Collaborate with the physician and other members of the person’s team
✓ Assist the person and family in resolving challenges
✓ Assist the person in developing skills to remain functional within his or her community
✓ Arrange individual and caregiver counseling and support services
✓ Refer people with disabilities and their families to the service and support
administrator for financial matters or interagency collaboration and follow-up

Social Work Additional Services

We currently partner with Malone University and Youngstown State University Social Work Dept.

We are able to offer Social Work Supervision and Internships, including potential educational experiences

Our agency provides hands on care, direct practice, and macro-level experience working with those individuals (18 yrs and up) with Developmental and Intellectual Disbilities; Dual Diagnosed with a Mental Health Disorder.

You must be willing to work in a home-based and community environment.

Skills include: Active Listener, Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking, Boundary Setting, Communication, Empathy, other.
